India’s Darwinbox Secures Follow-on Investment from TVG; Amount and Round Undisclosed
Serving 4.5 Million Employees, India’s Darwinbox Wins Renewed TVG Backing for AI-native HCM

Mumbai, India (September 15, 2026) - Teachers' Venture Growth (TVG), the late-stage venture and growth investment platform of Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, today announced a follow-on investment in Darwinbox, a leading human capital management (HCM) platform.
This investment marks TVG's second investment in Darwinbox, having first invested in 2025, and reflects continued conviction in the company's leadership team, product innovation and long-term opportunity in providing HR technology solutions to enterprises.
Founded in 2015, Darwinbox today serves more than 1,400 companies and 4.5 million employees globally. The company has continued to scale strongly, growing at 70% CAGR over the last five years, with growth across its major markets, including the United States, Middle East, India and South-East Asia.
Darwinbox has also continued to invest and accelerate innovation across its HCM product suite, enabling greater workflow automation, streamlining of HR operations and delivering more personalized employee experiences. In August, the company launched Darwinbox Cortex™, an AI-native HCM platform that launched with pilot customers including Fortune 1000 enterprise Visteon and Transcarent. Rather than adding AI capabilities on top of an existing HCM architecture, Cortex brings intelligence, context and execution into the core of the platform. It is being built with leading technology partners, including Microsoft, Slack and Glean, extending AI into the applications and workflows employees already use.
“Our continued investment reflects our conviction in Darwinbox's ability to redefine workforce management for large enterprises,” said Darius Vakil, Managing Director, Teachers' Venture Growth. “Launching Cortex, an AI-native platform, is yet another example of agility and customer centricity that is core to this team. This is a key milestone for the company, especially as it looks to build its business in North America.”
“Enterprise software is undergoing a generational shift towards AI-native platforms. With Cortex, we moved early and are leading that shift in HCM, with several industry-first innovations including the first Context Graph in the category. Our focus now is to work closely with our customers, drive real adoption and value, and scale AI usage across the enterprise.” said Jayant Paleti, Co-CEO, Darwinbox. “TVG has been a strong partner to Darwinbox, and we’re excited to deepen the partnership as we execute through this critical transition into the AI era.”
