SHL is a global talent-assessment and people-analytics company founded in 1977 and headquartered in Thames Ditton, United Kingdom. It provides science-based assessments (including cognitive, behavioral and personality tests such as the Occupational Personality Questionnaire), skills simulations, and video interviews used for hiring and talent development, and states that around 45 million SHL assessments are taken each year worldwide. Previously part of Gartner's CEB Talent Assessment business, SHL was acquired by Exponent Private Equity in February 2018.
