Joonko
AI diversity-recruiting platform sourcing underrepresented talent — shut down in 2023 after a founder fraud scandal.
About
Joonko was an AI-powered diversity-recruiting platform that sourced and matched candidates from underrepresented communities to open roles at partner companies. Founded in 2016 by Ilit Raz, it raised ~$30M including a $25M Series B in 2022 led by Insight Partners. The company collapsed in 2023 after founder/CEO Ilit Raz admitted fabricating customer, candidate and revenue data; she was later charged by the SEC and DOJ, and Joonko filed for bankruptcy in 2024. (Defunct — retained for historical record.)
