Pune-based sales hiring startup Scooter has closed a Rs 1.5 crore (~$180K) pre-seed round led by AJVC, the pre-seed fund of Aviral Bhatnagar. Founded in 2024 by Kartik Mandrekar (ex-Gartner, Shoptimize, Graas) and Saumya Seth (behavioural scientist, University of Pennsylvania), Scooter assesses sales candidates through real sales scenarios and short video clips rather than CVs alone, delivering hiring managers a shortlist of three to five candidates. The company reports 50+ customers, a pool of 10,000+ verified sales professionals, and one documented hire completed in six days.
