Workday's Trusted Agent Platform goes headless, letting customers build and run their own HR and finance agents

At Workday Rising 2026 in Las Vegas, Workday announced its Trusted Agent Platform has gone headless, allowing customers to build, deploy, and govern AI agents across HR and finance without requiring users to log into the Workday interface. Five components — Agent-Ready Tools, Workday Data Cloud, Developer Agent, Custom Agents, and Agent Harness — are now generally available. The platform enforces Workday's existing permissions, approvals, and audit trails across every agent regardless of origin. Multi-model support spans Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Meta Llama, Mistral, OpenAI GPT, and newly added NVIDIA Nemotron. Two further capabilities — Agent Context Service and Grounded Reasoning — are on the roadmap for early 2027.
