Spott, an AI-native operating system for recruitment agencies, has raised a $21 million Series A led by Balderton Capital, the company announced on September 22, 2026. Base10 Partners, Y Combinator and Fortino also joined the round.

Spott aims to replace the fragmented, legacy tools that staffing agencies rely on with a single AI-native platform spanning candidate management, search, conversations, outreach and automation. The company says revenue has grown more than tenfold since the start of 2026, with hundreds of agencies now using the platform — including H.W. Anderson and CGP Group, a 200-person firm operating across 12 countries — and that it can lift an agency's placements and revenue by up to 30%.

"Spott gives agencies control of their data and puts AI to work around their recruiters, freeing them to deepen relationships," said co-founder and CEO Lander Degreve.

The company is opening offices in Sydney and New York — it already generates roughly 20% of revenue in APAC and 15% in the US — and plans to grow from 44 to about 60 employees by the end of the year.

Why it matters

Recruitment agencies still run on fragmented, legacy stacks; Spott is betting an AI-native operating system — sourcing, candidate management, outreach and automation in one place — can lift placements and revenue (it claims up to 30%). Balderton leading a $21M Series A, alongside Base10, Y Combinator and Fortino, signals investor conviction that agentic AI will reshape the staffing-tech tooling layer, not just in-house recruiting. Spott's early traction (hundreds of agencies, 10x revenue in 2026, new Sydney and New York offices) makes it one to watch in recruitment tech.
