SkillsRight, a nonprofit that helps employers build skills-first workforces, has acquired hellohive, a technology platform that lets candidates articulate their experience and showcase skills beyond a traditional resume. Terms were not disclosed.
The nonprofit plans to fold hellohive's resume technology into its talent-intelligence ecosystem to enable what it calls "precision matching" — connecting a role's requirements to a candidate's actual capabilities, SkillsRight said.
"The market is moving decisively toward skills-first talent strategies, but organizations still need better ways to identify, understand and showcase the people" in their pipelines, said Debbie Dyson, CEO of SkillsRight.
hellohive founder and CEO Byron Slosar framed the deal around the limits of the resume. "Candidates have far more to offer than a traditional resume often reveals," he said.
