Juicebox, the AI recruiting platform, has announced a strategic agreement to acquire intellectual property and other assets from Fetcher, a talent sourcing and recruiting automation platform. Fetcher is winding down its existing product and operations, and its customers will have the option to move to Juicebox. Terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2016, Fetcher says it has served more than 1,500 customers and over 5,000 recruiters worldwide, and has raised over $30M. Its product paired automated candidate sourcing and outreach with personalized, human-in-the-loop support for recruiting teams.

"Juicebox has been on our radar for years, and I believe they have the most compelling product on the market right now. We're committed to working closely with them so our customers feel supported every step of the way," said Christopher Calmeyn, co-founder and CEO of Fetcher.

"Fetcher's customers value a recruiting partner that understands their needs and does the work alongside them," said David Paffenholz, CEO and co-founder of Juicebox. "We're excited to bring them that same level of care, supported by specialized AI agents and a team dedicated to their success."

What happens to Fetcher customers

Fetcher set out the transition in a post on its own site on October 2:

  • Through October 16: the Fetcher platform stays fully available. Customers can export candidates themselves as CSV, one position at a time, or request a full account export by email.
  • October 16: the platform shuts down. Running outreach sequences stop and integrations are disconnected. It is the last day to request a full export; requests made by then will be fulfilled even if delivery comes after shutdown.
  • November 19: Fetcher email support ends, and so does the exclusive Juicebox offer for Fetcher customers.
  • After November 19: Fetcher says it will securely delete remaining account data, and that customer data will not be transferred to anyone outside Fetcher.

Why it matters

AI sourcing is consolidating. Fetcher, a sourcing-automation company founded in 2016 with a human-in-the-loop model, is shutting its product and steering customers to Juicebox, an AI-native rival that says it has raised $116M. For recruiting teams on Fetcher the deadline is short: two weeks from Fetcher's notice to export candidate data before the platform closes on October 16. For buyers evaluating sourcing tools, it is a reminder to check data-export terms and vendor runway, as the category's older automation tools face agent-based competitors.
