Lockheed Martin to pay nearly $30M to settle claims of discrimination against White workers
Lockheed Martin agreed to pay about $29.5 million to settle U.S. Department of Justice and EEOC allegations that its compensation decisions discriminated against White employees. The package includes $22 million to the U.S. under the False Claims Act and about $7.5 million to more than 1,000 affected employees under Title VII. The government says HR personnel pressured leaders to swap nonminority employees out of a 2021 pay-increase program. Lockheed Martin denies the claims and says they involve past practices.
