Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which operates Kempegowda International Airport, has rejected claims by pro-Kannada groups that the airport increasingly employs workers from other states. BIAL says Kannadigas make up most of the airport workforce but gave no demographic data. Karnataka Rakshana Vedike reports that major employers, including Menzies Aviation and DHL Express, promised to increase local hiring within a year.
