HR technology, every morning — wired to the companies and people behind it.
Today's HR-tech landscape reflects mounting pressure on workforce strategy from multiple directions: Geographic Solutions released its latest VOS Sapphire AI+ update, CGI Federal launched a human-SI Workforce Development Coalition with AWS, and Arena.io secured $4.5 million to advance AI-powered labor market intelligence, while commentary warns that "AI rebounding" could carry hidden costs for employers. On the compliance and benefits front, Schumacher Auto Group faces a $112,500 EEOC disability discrimination settlement and a New Jersey employer is on the hook for $725,000 in unpaid pre-shift wages, underscoring the legal risks of workforce management gaps. G-P retained its top position in Everest Group's EOR PEAK Matrix for a fifth consecutive year, YunoJuno earned a Leader designation in Everest's CoR and CEoR assessment, and Everee expanded its embedded payroll infrastructure — all signaling continued consolidation around compliance-focused workforce platforms.

A report from talent insights company SHL, released Oct. 29, found that some employers are replacing workers with AI and then trying to rehire them, a pattern it calls "AI rebounding." Of more than 2,000 U.S. and U.K. employed adults surveyed by Propeller Insights, 51% said they would demand a substantial raise to return, 42% would require a job security guarantee, and 4 in 10 would want full transparency about AI use in their role. Gartner predicts that by 2029, 30% of workers terminated or replaced by AI will be rehired, often at a higher cost.
