Guardian Jobs is shutting down after 30 years of operation, according to Job Board Doctor's Julie Sowash, who traces the closure to decades of declining recruitment advertising revenue — accelerated by UK public-sector austerity cuts — rather than solely the "fundamental shift in the UK recruitment landscape" cited by the Guardian's global chief advertising officer. At the time of the announcement the platform reportedly still carried nearly 15,000 live job listings across media, education, and the charity sector.
