How DHRMap builds and verifies its data
Version 1.0 · last reviewed 2026-09-13.
DHRMap is an independent HR-technology intelligence platform. This page explains how our data is built, checked and labeled — so buyers, journalists and AI answer engines can judge (and cite) it with confidence. It is a living document: we refine it as our process evolves.
1. What we cover We map the digital-HR landscape: talent acquisition, HCM/HRIS, payroll, learning, people analytics, employee experience, AI governance for hiring, and adjacent categories. A company enters the directory one of two ways:
- Editorially, when we profile a vendor we judge relevant to the space; or - From the news pipeline, when a company is named in HR-tech coverage (funding, M&A, leadership moves). These auto-released entries start as lightweight stubs and are clearly marked as unverified until reviewed.
People enter only when they appear in published coverage in a leadership context. We do not scrape private profiles.
2. Verification — honest about confidence Not every entry is equally checked, and we say so rather than implying a uniform authority.
- A profile is shown in full and marked ✓ Verified only after we check its key facts against primary sources — the company's own site and filings, regulator/exchange listings, and reputable marketplaces. - Entries we have not yet checked are shown as a summary with an explicit note, never dressed up as authoritative. - Every verified profile carries a last-reviewed date and links to the sources behind it. Facts go stale; the date tells you how fresh ours are.
3. Sourcing & citation Verified facts are traceable to a named source (official, regulatory, or marketplace), each stamped with the date we last checked it. When a person's stated employer may be out of date, we label it as reported rather than current.
You are welcome to cite DHRMap — quote a fact and link to its canonical page. Every company and person page also has clean machine-readable twins for ingestion and citation: a JSON and a Markdown version at `/companies/{slug}.json` · `.md` and `/people/{slug}.json` · `.md`, plus directory datasets at `/data/companies.json` and `/data/people.json`, an OpenAPI description at `/data/openapi.json`, and a full index at `/llms-full.txt`. Every company exposes the facts we hold, and each profile reports its own verification state.
4. What we don't know, we leave blank We would rather show a gap than guess. Empty fields mean "not yet recorded," not "zero" — we don't fabricate founders, funding figures, headcounts or bios to make a profile look complete.
5. Editorial independence & paid content DHRMap earns revenue from advertising and from vendor-paid placements, awards sponsorships and brand columns. Two firm rules keep that honest:
- Verification and rankings are never for sale. A ✓ Verified badge and a Top Brands position reflect our checks and real news coverage, not payment. - Paid content is always labeled as promoted or sponsored, distinctly from independent editorial. Headline stats are rounded down so we never overstate our coverage.
