Unily is a UK-founded enterprise employee-experience platform whose history began as BrightStarr in 2005. Co-founders Will Saville and Rich Paterson built the business around digital workplaces before the company and product unified under the Unily name in 2018. Today Unily positions itself as an AI-native Employee Experience Platform for large, complex organizations, combining a modern intranet, employee app, internal communications, enterprise search, knowledge, engagement, analytics, integrations, and frontline experiences. Unily reports more than five million users across 140 countries and support for 40 languages. Its current official company page lists 201–500 employees and London headquarters. A $68 million minority growth investment was announced in 2019; CVC Growth later took a majority stake through an undisclosed 2021 transaction supported by separate debt financing, so the old $68 million value is retained as history rather than shown as current aggregate funding.
