CareRev is a technology-enabled healthcare workforce platform founded in 2015 (Y Combinator S16) by former trauma ICU nurse Will Patterson. Its app provides an on-demand, per-diem staffing marketplace for acute care, letting hospitals tap a flexible local pool of nurses, techs and other clinicians to fill shifts while cutting costs. It raised ~$50M Series A in 2021. In January 2026 CareRev was acquired by IntelyCare to build a comprehensive health-system workforce staffing platform.
